Job summary

Camp Daisy and Harry Stein seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for Camp Stein, guiding growth, fundraising, and a welcoming, inclusive camper experience in Prescott, AZ. You will work closely with Congregation Beth Israel to align camp programs with Jewish values and community priorities.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with donors, alumni, and partner organizations, while ensuring financial sustainability and program excellence for all campers

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in camping, Jewish communal life, nonprofit management, education, hospitality, youth development, or a related field.
• A track record in strategic planning, organizational growth, recruitment, marketing, fundraising, or business development with strong financial acumen.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with boards, volunteers, and lay leadership.
• Dynamic thinking, creativity, and ambition to pursue new goals and opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Camp Stein and align with Congregation Beth Israel.
• Oversee enrollment growth, recruitment, and camper retention strategies.
• Lead fundraising, donor engagement, and annual budget oversight.
• Build authentic partnerships with Jewish organizations, synagogues, and community partners.
• Oversee marketing, communications, and retreat/facility rental programs.
