Qualifications

• Eligible for or in possession of a Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement in Administration.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and personal characteristics for working with students, families, staff and community.
• Ability to solve problems in a positive and productive manner.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to support student achievement and school improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide an instructional program aligned with goals of the school division and standards.
• Lead development and implementation of instructional program with classroom supervision.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and community to foster a positive learning environment.
• Supervise and evaluate instructional and support personnel.
• Advise on staff needs and participate in recruitment, assignment, evaluation, and discipline of personnel.
• Establish and support a guidance program for all students.
• Organize student registration, scheduling, and master schedule development.
• Promote home-school communication and community involvement.
• Engage families and advisory groups; recruit community partners.
• Devise and administer a school budget and maintain accurate accounting of funds.
• Lead policy interpretation and division/school policy development.
• Maintain care and attractiveness of buildings and grounds.
• Engage in professional enrichment to stay current in education.
• Involve staff in collaborative decision-making and school improvement.
