Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks a System Director of Nursing Education to lead the system nursing education strategy and outcomes across the health system. The role reports to the System Chief Nursing Executive and participates in the System Nursing Executive Council.

The position directs educational programs, staff development, orientation, and continuing education, partnering with senior leadership to ensure patient-centered care, clinical excellence and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; Doctorate preferred; Nursing degree required if graduate not in nursing.
• Certification in Nursing Leadership is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in Nursing Education, regulatory compliance and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate staff development activities for Nursing personnel.
• Develop and direct competency assessment programs for Nursing personnel.
• Oversee education programs, on-boarding, continuing education and e-learning systems.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure regulatory and Magnet/PTE standards.
• Manage budgets and ongoing alignment with department goals.
