Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing practice, education and research while aligning with the system’s strategic clinical objectives. The CNO will oversee clinical operations, quality initiatives and resource management to support outstanding patient care.

The candidate will partner with hospital leadership, physicians and system executives to advance Magnet standards, patient safety and experience, and staff engagement across departments

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; doctorate preferred.
• Advanced Certification in Nursing Leadership highly preferred.
• Extensive clinical nursing and management experience in senior leadership roles (7+ years).
• Experience in Magnet facilities and in academic medical centers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing practice, education, development, research, administration and clinical services.
• Lead the strategic plan execution to achieve mission and vision with focus on patient care quality and safety.
• Define nursing practice scope, establish accountability structures and ensure clinical competence.
• Develop annual operating and capital budgets for nursing and ensure prudent resource management.
• Foster a healthy, respectful, and collaborative work environment and partner with physicians to champion patient care.
