Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Data and AI Engineering to define and execute the data and AI strategy across the R&D value chain in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

The role leads a team of data engineers and AI specialists, delivering scalable data foundations, Gen AI use cases, and responsible AI practices to enable drug development, clinical trials and real-world evidence initiatives.

Qualifications

• Expertise across real-world data assets and using them to generate scientific evidence.
• Deep expertise in data engineering, AI/ML, Gen AI and related techniques.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional collaboration in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for data, AI and Gen AI in R&D.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines and AI applications across the R&D stack.
• Establish governance, compliance, and MLOps practices for AI solutions in pharma.
