Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 8+ years of managerial and supervisory experience.
• Master's degree and/or municipal civil engineering experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering license in Illinois, valid driver's license, and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and management over infrastructure engineering, construction management, and development review.
• Serve as City Traffic Engineer and participate in Traffic Commission activities.
• Develop and manage the Capital Improvement Plan and update city design standards.
• Coordinate projects with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Oversee construction of public works projects and assist with budget planning.
