The University of Tennessee Health Sciences invites applications and nominations for the Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science (CPTS). The Chair will serve as the department's senior academic and administrative leader, advancing education, research, clinical practice, service, and professional engagement across Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville.

This tenure-track, full-time position requires the candidate to hold the rank of full Professor or be eligible for

Qualifications

• PharmD and/or PhD in a pharmacy-related field from an accredited program.
• Current rank of full professor or credentials sufficient for appointment as full professor. Distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, clinical practice, service, and/or academic leadership.
• Active pharmacy license or eligibility for pharmacist licensure in Tennessee.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for the department's academic, clinical, research, and service missions.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain outstanding faculty and staff while fostering a culture of transparency, professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and shared success.
• Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, operations, faculty workload, and promotion and tenure processes.
• Advance excellence in PharmD, graduate, residency, fellowship, and continuing professional education programs.
• Strengthen clinical practice partnerships with health systems, community partners, professional organizations, and affiliated institutions.
• Promote growth in clinical, translational, implementation, health outcomes, and practice-based research.
• Foster a collegial, transparent, accountable, and high-performing academic culture.
