Job summary

The University of California, Irvine's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences seeks a Chairperson to lead the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. The Chair reports to the Dean and oversees teaching, research, clinical and service missions while holding a faculty appointment at Associate/Full Professor level in the Clin X or tenured track.

Applicants must hold PharmD, Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent and be licensed in California or eligible for licensure.

Qualifications

• PharmD, Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California or be eligible to obtain California licensure.
• Preferred qualifications include prior academic administration experience, track record of extramural funding, prior faculty mentoring experience, national recognition in their field, and established expertise in pharmacy education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, overseeing teaching, research, clinical and service missions.
• Provide visionary leadership, coordinate academic programs, mentoring, and faculty recruitment/retention, and promote equity and excellence.
