Qualifications

• PharmD and/or PhD in a pharmacy-related field.
• Full Professor rank with distinguished scholarship and leadership.
• Experience mentoring faculty and building high-performing teams.
• Administrative experience with budgets, personnel management, and program oversight.
• Active pharmacy license or eligibility in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the department’s academic, clinical, research, and service missions.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain outstanding faculty and staff while fostering transparency and collaboration.
• Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, operations, workload, and promotion/tenure processes.
• Advance excellence in PharmD, graduate, residency, fellowship, and continuing education programs.
• Strengthen clinical practice partnerships with health systems and affiliated institutions.
• Promote growth in clinical, translational, implementation, health outcomes, and practice-based research.
• Foster a collegial, transparent, high-performing academic culture.
