Job summary

The Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce seeks a visionary, strategic CEO to lead a 5‑Star accredited chamber across four cities and two counties. You will report to the Board and steer overall strategy, operations, financial performance, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate has a track record building sustainable organizations, diverse revenue streams and leading high‑performing teams while navigating public policy and uniting diverse interests around a regional vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated success leading complex organizations with multiple revenue streams.
• Experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, membership growth or business development.
• Strong understanding of public policy, government relations and advocacy.
• Proven ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, public speaking and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Chamber’s strategic vision and long-range goals with the Board of Directors.
• Position the Chamber as the leading regional voice across the Tri-Cities.
• Identify evolving economic, workforce, infrastructure and policy issues.
• Foster innovation, accountability, collaboration and excellence across the organization.
• Provide executive oversight of public policy and serve as the lead business voice locally, regionally and state-wide.
• Build productive relationships with officials, agencies and community leaders.
• Lead diversified revenue strategies including membership, sponsorships, events, grants and partnerships.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and resource allocation.
• Develop relationships with businesses of all sizes and engage stakeholders regionally.
• Oversee signature events and leadership programs to drive value for members.
• Mentor and develop staff and maintain a high-performance culture.
