Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a full-time Before and After-school Program Director in San Ramon, CA. You will lead a team to provide high-quality after-school care, learning activities, and safe, engaging experiences for children at Rancho Romero and Creekside Elementary Schools.

The role requires background in early childhood education with core units and administrative qualifications, plus several years of teaching in group settings. This position is onsite, with weekday hours.

Qualifications

• 12 core semester units in early childhood education/development.
• 3 semester units in Administration or Staff Relations.
• 4 years of teaching experience in a supervised group child care center.
• Alternative qualifications listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and dedicated team to deliver high-quality care, learning, and excitement to children.
• Train AlphaBEST staff on nurturing children and igniting their sense of wonder.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment with positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.

Education

12 core semester units in early childhood education/development

3 semester units in Administration or Staff Relations

A degree in child development

BA degree in child development

Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit

For School-Age Director, refer to Health and Safety Code Section 1597.21

24 semester units in child development, recreation, or related field

6 semester units in administration and supervision

2 years of experience with school-age children in group setting
