Job summary

Prince George’s County Government in Largo, MD seeks a Vision Zero Program Coordinator (Planner 1A) to support the Vision Zero Prince George’s team with program development, outreach, and data-driven prioritization.

Responsibilities include coordinating the Action Plan, building partnerships across departments, tracking best practices, and assisting with reports and public information. Entry to full performance level after probation; selection based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, urban design, public administration, economics, transportation planning, political science, environmental science, or related field.
• An equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Vision Zero Program Manager in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the Vision Zero Action Plan.
• Support in formulating a data driven methodology to inform preliminary pre planning project and program development and prioritization.
• Work with other employees to develop partnerships with other departments to integrate goals of Vision Zero.

Education

Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, urban design, public administration, economics, transportation planning, political science, environmental science, or other field in the area of assignment
