Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. in Faribault, MN is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead vision inspection systems and support quality programs across production. You will develop and maintain quality equipment and mentor technicians, ensuring product and process quality meets standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineering or related field degree required.
• Manufacturing quality experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma training preferred.
• Experience with statistical analysis software (Minitab/SPSS/JMP) preferred.
• Programming exposure (VB, Wonderware) helpful.
• Experience with databases and interface tools (Power BI, SharePoint, MS Access) a plus.
• ASQ CQE certification preferred.
• Vision systems experience a plus.
• Ability to apply AI tools to drive improvements and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead vision systems: accuracy, maintenance, and training of operators.
• Support QMS, audits, corrective actions, and document control.
• Lead quality initiatives, improve OEE, and drive cost reductions.
• Perform process capability studies and validate new processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to update procedures.
• Provide quality updates and risk assessment across the organization.
• Mentor and develop quality staff; support shift leadership.
