Job summary

RTX’s Raytheon Vision Systems in Goleta, CA is seeking a summer engineering intern to support the Engineering Department onsite. The role focuses on planning, development, trade studies, and performance analysis for EO/IR Sensor Systems.

Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in STEM with at least 60 credit hours, and have programming experience in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist a multi-disciplinary engineering team with planning, development, trade studies, and performance analysis.
• Perform integration, verification and validation testing to support delivery of EO/IR Sensor Systems.
• Support execution and procurement activities in support of an engineering build.
• Collaborate with operations and manufacturing teams.
