Elica Health Centers is expanding its services to include Vision Services and seeks an Optician who will sell eyeglasses and contacts according to prescriptions. You will advise on lens materials, designs, and frame fit, while ensuring accurate measurements and patient education. Join a team dedicated to accessible, quality eye care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Active BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail optician experience.
• Bilingual preferred (Russian, Spanish, Farsi/Dari).

Responsibilities

• Provide education on lens materials, products and designs.
• Interpret and transpose prescriptions to ensure accuracy.
• Advise patients on proper eyewear frame selection and fit.
• Design eyewear by combining frame design, lens materials and lifestyle needs.
• Perform eyeglass frame adjustments and repairs with proper alignment.
• Measure lens power, PD, multifocal height, base curve, vertex distance and prism power.
• Order custom lenses from labs and assist with billing and insurance when needed.
• Verify prescriptions for ordered lenses and check for accuracy.
• Maintain product displays and monitor inventory levels.
