Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer to lead Vision Intelligence, guiding computer vision, ML, and edge AI across Oshkosh segments. You will translate research into production-ready capabilities and establish governance and MLOps practices to support scalable, traceable AI development.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across Edge, Cloud, Systems, and Controls, and shape scalable architectures for embedded, edge, and cloud deployment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of related experience.
• Ph.D. in CS/AI with 4+ years of related experience preferred.
• Automotive or heavy‑duty vehicle background preferred.
• Experience deploying AI/vision across embedded, edge and cloud.
• Strong Python with production C/C++ knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead Vision Intelligence across computer vision, ML, and edge AI initiatives.
• Define the technical roadmap for reusable Vision Intelligence across Oshkosh segments.
• Translate AI research into practical, scalable product capabilities.
• Establish model development, validation, governance, and MLOps practices.
• Lead deployment of AI models across embedded, edge, and cloud platforms.
