Job summary

Tutor Me Education seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired for a full-time, in-person role for the 2026–2027 school year in Colorado. You will support students aged 0–21 who are blind or visually impaired, coordinating with families and teams to ensure access to curriculum and environments.

The role emphasizes direct instruction in braille, assistive tech, and ECC, comprehensive IEP management, and collaboration with educators and caregivers to optimize learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in special education visual impairment from a regionally accredited institution.
• Successful completion of an approved program for specialists visually impaired with field experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction in braille, assistive tech, and ECC to students with visual impairments.
• Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments; write and monitor IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff and families to adapt materials and accommodations.
• Ensure accessible classroom environments and advocate for students’ needs.
