Job summary

YAI is seeking a Senior TVI to provide vision services in 1:1 sessions and groups within a school setting. You will collect data, create goals, monitor progress, and prepare FVLMAs and IEP-related documents, ensuring a comprehensive educational plan for each student.

You will collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and the iHOPE Assistive Technology Team to adapt materials, plan lessons, and coordinate with external organizations.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required.
• Certification as Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired required by NYSED.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint for adaptations.

Responsibilities

• Provides vision services in 1:1 sessions and groups.
• Develops IEPs and FVLMAs; prepares progress reports.
• Collaborates with teachers and iHOPE Assistive Technology Team to meet educational needs.
• Participates in IEP, parent/teacher and CSE meetings; may attend hearings.
