Walmart Vision Center in Post Falls, ID is seeking an Optician or Apprentice Optician to join our team. You will assist customers with eyewear selection, take measurements, verify prescriptions, and help maintain stock and equipment in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales in the Vision Center with merchandising, pricing, and inventory management.
• Supervise and train Associates on customer service per company guidelines and standards.
• Oversee community outreach programs and associate involvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and safety controls in the Vision Center.
• Provide development opportunities and recognition to Associates.
• Assist customers with eyewear selection, measurements, prescriptions, and minor repairs.
• Uphold the Open Door Policy and resolve associates' concerns.
• Coordinate activities with stakeholders to meet customer and business needs and promote continuous learning.
• Foster belonging and attract/retain talent while maintaining integrity and accountability.
• Deliver customer-first service and apply EDLP and EDLC business models when planning.
