Job summary

Nationwide Vision in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors with preliminary testing and ensure a smooth patient flow.

You will verify vision and medical insurances, communicate with patients, doctors and managers, and assist with exams using eye care equipment.

A high school diploma is required, and prior ophthalmic or medical office experience is preferred; full benefits available.

Qualifications

• Prior medical office experience preferred, ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Favorable background check result as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests.
