Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is hiring for an Optical Associate responsible for dispensing spectacles and optical products according to prescriptions from optometrists. You will advise on lenses, frames, and adjustments while delivering friendly member service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires accuracy with Rx data, reading a lensometer, and handling payments. It also emphasizes HIPAA compliance, teamwork, and a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, and/or optical experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and an attention to detail required.
• Open shift availability required for full time positions.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Verifies order data entry and ensures Rx matches original doctor prescription.
• Delivers sales by providing excellent Member service in person and over the phone.
• Takes measurements, reads prescriptions, and ensures proper processing and payment handling.
• Strives to meet sales and metric goals by educating patients on available products.
