Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a part-time OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to support patient flow from intake through preliminary testing and introduction to the OD. You will help educate patients and transition them to sales, while keeping records up to date and ensuring a smooth exam experience.

You will also assist with daily store operations, restocking and equipment cleaning, and answering phones to support patient needs. Prior customer or patient experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed
