Job summary

VisionWorks is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice, handling preliminary testing and eye health knowledge for patients. You’ll support optics, products, and managed vision care, guiding customers through the VisionWorks experience with a warm, informative approach.

The role focuses on delivering a simple, human, and bold patient journey from check-in to exam coordination, with emphasis on accuracy and care.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer or patient service is preferred.
• Requires HS diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
