Blue Origin is seeking a senior technical leader in Vision Based Navigation to guide architecture and execution across lunar missions. You will shape algorithms, validate performance, and ensure cross-program integration of CV software within spacecraft baselines.

The role requires advanced degrees, 10+ years in robotics/CV, and a track record of leading complex systems. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential; US citizenship or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace, Robotics, or related Engineering with 10+ years of CV development experience.
• Recognized expert in Robotics and Computer Vision with leadership experience.
• Deep experience with optics, camera hardware and calibration, including trade studies.
• Foundational understanding in synthetic scene generation and radiometry.
• Ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholders across organizations.
• Excellent technical written and verbal communication; capable of presenting to executives.
• U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or approved entry into the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Computer Vision across multiple programs.
• Enforce unit/ integration testing and V&V for CV software segments.
• Oversee integration of CV software into vehicle baselines.
• Develop automation, tooling, and scalable processes across engineering.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; raise team capabilities.
• Represent organization in technical reviews and cross‑program exchanges.
• Drive resolution of complex challenges spanning multiple subsystems.
• Influence make/buy decisions and roadmaps for vision navigation.
