Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Principal Ground Navigation Engineer to lead ground-based navigation analysis and software development for lunar missions. You will guide trajectory analysis, mentor a team of navigation engineers, and coordinate with deep space network providers and customers to ensure navigation integrity across programs.

The role requires extensive experience in radiometric navigation, astrodynamics, and high-level software design, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end navigation

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; 12+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide ground navigation trades and analysis using statistics and orbit determination.

• Collaborate with GNC, systems engineering, and flight ops to validate end-to-end navigation processes.

• Represent Blue Origin to external tracking providers and customers.

• Develop flight dynamics software architectures to meet evolving mission needs.

• Contribute to live ground navigation operations for crewed and uncrewed lunar missions.

• Mentor navigation engineers and establish best practices for algorithm development, testing and verification.
