Job summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist Telepractice (SLP-TP) at Northwest Area Education Agency provides comprehensive services via a telepractice modality to learners birth to 21 with communication needs affecting education and social interaction. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Iowa BoEE B-21 Speech-Language Pathologist license or Iowa Department of Public Health license with an SPR.
• CCC-credentials (ASHA CCCs) encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consultation, collaboration, and coaching with school staff, families, and community partners.
• Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop IFSPs/IEPs as appropriate.
• Provide direct instruction or consultative support for speech-language disorders (articulation, language, etc.).
• Utilize data collection to monitor progress and inform instructional decisions.
• Train district and school staff on communication assistive technology usage.
