Job summary

Green Hills Area Education Agency is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Teletherapist to provide remote services for students aged birth to 21. The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, current Iowa licensure, and the ability to obtain SPR or equivalent within two years.

The position emphasizes flexibility, comprehensive assessments, referral processes, and service delivery design. Responsibilities include screening, reporting, IEP collaboration, and supervising assistants.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current license from the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology, in the Department of Public Health (DPH), and a SPR from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
• Or meet Iowa Board guidelines for a Speech-Language Pathologist and obtain licensure within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language services to students birth to 21, including identification and remediation.
• Diagnose communication delays and develop service delivery plans.
• Design and implement service delivery models for speech-language services.
• Create flexible schedules based on Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
• Provide services during regular and extended school years for assigned caseloads.
• Attend regularly and fulfill non-essential duties as assigned.
• Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants as needed.
• Participate in professional development and share knowledge with teachers and staff.
• Respond promptly to requests for reports, meetings, and staffing.
