Job summary

Amarillo ISD is seeking an online instructor to deliver state-aligned curriculum via a Learning Management System, combining synchronous and asynchronous instruction from a dedicated workspace to minimize distractions and maximize instructional quality.

The instructor will guide students toward TEKS mastery while maintaining constant communication with families, using data to drive engagement and achievement. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring collaboration with AISD staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned.
Knowledge of assigned curriculum; knowledge of instructional methods.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans for virtual learning.
Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for individual student differences.
Implement and maintain the online course as written.
Assess student learning styles and adjust the course to student needs.
Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
Use diverse instructional techniques and digital trends to engage students.
Maintain flexible schedule including evenings & weekends to support live sessions.
Create a professional virtual workspace free from distractions.
Ensure a professional, distraction-free background during synchronous sessions.
Maintain reports, records, and other required documents.
Stay in consistent contact with students and their families.
