Job summary

ACCEL Schools Florida is seeking a Science Content Coach to support grades 3–10 with standards-aligned science curriculum, pacing guides, and instructional resources in an online setting. Travel for in-person state testing and events is required several times per year.

You will monitor pacing, track standards coverage, and help teachers unpack concepts to boost student mastery across the sequence of grades 3–10.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in education with science expertise.
• Strong knowledge of science standards and curriculum across grades 3–10.
• Ability to work with teachers to unpack standards and plan instruction.
• Comfort with data analysis and pacing alignment.

Responsibilities

• Support science teachers in implementing standards-aligned curriculum and pacing.
• Monitor instructional pacing to ensure standards are taught on schedule.
• Track which standards have been taught, assessed, and mastered.
• Assist teachers in unpacking standards and understanding content knowledge.
• Review curriculum maps and resources to ensure alignment with standards.
• Analyze student achievement data to identify gaps and priorities.
• Collaborate with teachers to adjust pacing based on performance.
• Identify prerequisite concepts and help address learning gaps.
• Maintain vertical alignment across grades 3–10.
• Support planning and data discussions focused on pacing and mastery.
