Job summary

MassCA is seeking a High School Counselor to support students with academic and social-emotional needs within our virtual school setting. You will communicate with families, teachers, and students through calls and digital tools to build a data-based counseling program.

The role requires a current DESE School Counseling license, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work two days per week at the Walpole, MA office. Remote work may be possible on occasion.

Qualifications

• Current DESE License for School Counseling is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft OS and Office programs.
• Student-focused approach with flexibility and teamwork.
• Willingness/ability to travel for student outreach and state testing events.
• Ability to work remotely when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and social-emotional support to students on caseload.
• Communicate with learning coaches, students, and parents via phone and curriculum tools.
• Collaborate with counseling team to develop grade-specific programs.
• Coordinate with teachers to ensure student progress and accessible contact points for families.
• Support students with IEP/504 plan services and post-graduate planning.
• Develop and implement virtual methods to create and maintain a school community.
