Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School is seeking a School Counselor to support K–12 students in a fully virtual environment. The role involves direct counseling, academic guidance, crisis response, and graduation planning, all delivered remotely from a home office in Pennsylvania.

As part of a collaborative team, you will align with PDE standards and MTSS, provide transition support for students, and coordinate student services with families and instructional staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania School Counselor certification or eligibility for certification.
• Minimum of two years of experience in school counseling or related educational settings preferred.
• Strong understanding of student support practices, graduation requirements, and counseling ethics.
• Knowledge of PDE regulations, MTSS practices, and student support processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive school counseling services aligned with PDE standards and school-wide student support initiatives.
• Deliver individual and group counseling addressing academic, behavioral, career, attendance, and social-emotional needs.
• Assist students with course selection, graduation requirements, dual enrollment opportunities, and transition planning.
• Deliver virtual guidance lessons on academic success, mental wellness, digital citizenship, and career exploration.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and partners to remove barriers to learning and support MTSS processes.
