The Virtual Sales Manager is responsible for frontline management of the Virtual Sales Team for the Performance Materials Line of Business, ensuring profitable growth for the organization.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of associates engaging with customers remotely to deliver customer retention and expand share with existing customers.
  • Engage prospective customers through various means to communicate Univar Solutions' value and secure purchases.
  • Drive sales results while adhering to company policies and safety requirements through real-time feedback, engagement, and weekly one-on-one meetings for sales development and goal achievement.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new associates.
  • Assign and manage duties to meet business needs.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met through managing associate KPIs, workload monitoring, and responsibilities execution.
  • Identify process optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain and execute pricing strategies and price management.
  • Collaborate with Account Management Leaders, Product Management, Customer Solutions, Technical/ADS, and Sales Support.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory levels for customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly business performance reports to leaders.

What you'll need:

  • Proven track record with a growth portfolio; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the Performance Materials Industry, preferably with sales or related experience.
  • 2+ years of management/supervisory experience or internal organizational knowledge equivalent.
  • Experience in B2B sales supervision.
  • Strong leadership skills in mentoring, motivating, and managing change.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and determine appropriate actions.
  • Decision-making skills balancing customer needs and company objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, Tableau.
