Job summary

HealthTap seeks U.S. board-certified primary care physicians (MD/DO) to manage a diverse patient panel through a secure virtual platform. You will provide initial and ongoing primary care, practice evidence-based medicine, and build long-term patient relationships—all supported by HealthTap's advanced virtual care system.

You can set your own schedule in 15-minute increments, and compensation ranges from $90,000 to $250,000 annually based on hours. Active unrestricted U.S.

Qualifications

• Education: MD/DO; Board-certified in Family or Internal Medicine (ABFM/ABIM/AOBFP/AOBIM).
• Experience: 4+ years of post-residency clinical practice in the U.S.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license; must be licensed in NJ, FL, TX, GA or hold multiple licenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality virtual care via video visits using a secure device.
• Evaluate and manage patients with ongoing care needs and preventive care.
• Offer education and guidance to patients on health concerns.
• Prescribe medications electronically when appropriate (excluding DEA/state-scheduled drugs).
• Order and review lab tests; provide follow-up recommendations.
• Fill out work/school/medical excuse notes when appropriate.
• Refer patients to in-person care when necessary.
• Write SOAP notes with follow-up recommendations after each visit.
• Participate in peer-review and quality-improvement initiatives.

HealthTap is seeking U.S. board-certified primary care physicians (MD/DO) to manage a diverse patient panel. In this role, you will provide initial and ongoing primary care, practice evidence-based medicine, and build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients—all supported by our advanced virtual care platform. We are currently recruiting physicians licensed in NJ, FL, TX, or GA, as well as physicians holding multiple state licenses (ideally including one or more of these target states).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate virtual care via video visits, using your secure and compliant laptop or desktop computer.
• Evaluate and manage patients who have ongoing need for care, plus support and encourage healthy living lifestyles and recommended preventive care. Their patients also will turn to them with their urgent care needs.
• Offer education and guidance to patients on their health concerns.
• Prescribe medications electronically when clinically appropriate (except we do not offer prescriptions for DEA and state-scheduled drugs).
• Order and review lab tests and provide follow-up recommendations.
• Fill out work, school, and medical excuse notes when appropriate.
• Refer patients to in-person care when necessary.
• Write appropriate medical notes (SOAP format) with followup recommendations after each visit.
• Participate in peer-review and quality-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education & Certification: MD, DO, or equivalent degree; Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABFM, ABIM, AOBFP, or AOBIM).
• Experience: 4+ years of post-residency clinical practice in the U.S.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license in good standing. Must be licensed in at least one key state (NJ, FL, TX, GA) or hold multiple state licenses.
