Included Health seeks primary care physicians to deliver holistic, longitudinal care through virtual visits and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. You will manage a patient panel, emphasize compassionate, evidence-based care, and communicate clearly in patient-friendly language.

Role requires licensing, board certification, and tolerance for a dynamic clinical environment. Remote-first culture with flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends, supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Completion of 3–4 year Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds residency.
• Active medical license and board certification in Family Medicine.
• 3+ years of post-residency primary care experience managing a patient panel.

The ideal candidate is skilled at managing their own patient panel, fostering lasting relationships, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. You’ll communicate clearly in patient-friendly language and demonstrate the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality virtual primary care through video visits, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.

• Manage a panel of patients, delivering comprehensive care across acute, chronic, and preventive needs.

• Collaborate with the Care and Case Management team to develop care plans and support successful outcomes.

• Work with the Credentialing Team to obtain additional state licenses as needed.

• Maintain patient satisfaction and quality metrics by practicing evidence-based medicine with exemplary bedside manner.

• Utilize telehealth technology to deliver patient care while effectively managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Stay current with medical knowledge, treatments, and medications.

• Adhere to assigned schedules, including some evenings and weekends.

• Strictly adhere to HIPAA and security regulations to safeguard patient information.

• Contribute to a culture of humility, curiosity, and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• 3–4-year Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds residency or equivalent.

• Active medical license and board certification in Family Medicine through ABMS or AOA.

• 3+ years of post-residency primary care experience managing an independent patient panel.

• Willingness to supervise Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and/or PAs).

• Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid participation, with no sanctions or exclusions.

• Active Medicare status.

• Multiple state licenses are required.

• Currently meet all required qualifications for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation: https://imlcc.com/information-for-physicians/

• Knowledge of HIPAA and commitment to protecting patient information.

• Ability and willingness to treat patients of all ages across the lifespan.

• Professional, private, and secure home office environment for virtual patient visits.

• Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, compassionate care and support to patients and families during challenging situations.

• Ability to manage high patient volumes and competing priorities in a dynamic clinical environment while maintaining quality of care.

• Strong proficiency with technology and electronic health platforms.

• Telehealth experience preferred

Shift Obligations:

• 40 hours per week, consisting of 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday.

• Work 8 hours across a weekend at least every eighth weekend.

• When a weekend shift is worked, one weekday off will be provided the following week to maintain a 40-hour schedule.

• At least once every 4 weeks, work one evening until 7:00 p.m. in the clinician’s time zone.

The United States new hire base salary range for this full-time position is $230,000 + equity + benefits.
