Job summary

Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc. in Austin or Cupertino seeks a software engineer to build and own full-system models for SoCs, offering early access to silicon and impact across firmware, driver, runtime, and application software.

You will work with C++/SystemC, Python tooling, and QEMU-based platforms, focusing on usability, performance, and scalable simulation to support large ML workloads.

Qualifications

• 2+ years writing functional models, virtual platforms, or system-level simulations for hardware (SoCs, ASICs, GPUs, CPUs)
• Familiarity with SoC, CPU, GPU, and/or ASIC architecture and micro-architecture
• Experience with C/C++, Python, Java or Perl is required
• Experience developing or integrating with QEMU, SystemC, TLM is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and own functional models of SoC subsystems integrated into our full-system virtual platform
• Develop and improve the virtual platform infrastructure: QEMU integration, simulation performance, build and release tooling, and customer-facing documentation
• Design models for usability and performance for software engineers who run real workloads
• Work with software teams to understand workflows, debug issues on the platform, and shape the model to maximize productivity
• Drive simulation performance improvements to handle increasingly complex workloads
