Job summary

Amazon’s Annapurna Labs team is seeking a Senior Virtual Platform Software Engineer to build and own full-system models of SoCs for Trainium and Inferentia. You will contribute to a powerful virtual platform used by firmware, driver, runtime, and application software teams.

Work involves designing usable, high-performance models, integrating with QEMU, improving simulation speed, and delivering reliable tooling and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• Experience programming with C++ and/or SystemC.
• Knowledge of SoC/CPU/GPU/ASIC architecture.
• Familiarity with Python for tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and own functional models of SoC subsystems that integrate into the virtual platform.
• Design models for usability and performance for software engineers.
• Develop and improve the virtual platform infrastructure, including QEMU integration and tooling.
• Collaborate with software teams to understand workflows and debug issues on the platform.
• Drive simulation performance improvements for larger workloads and scale.
