Job summary

HelloHero is seeking a Virtual Occupational Therapist to support students remotely across K–12. This school-based role offers 10–20 hours per week with flexible scheduling, aligned with student timetables.

Work is performed as either a 1099 contractor or W2 employee, and includes paid training at $20/hour. You will deliver OT services via our platform, conduct assessments, develop goals, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate with school staff and families.

Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin occupational therapy license required.
  • Department of Education licensure.

Position Details

Location: Remote

Schedule: School-day hours (aligned with student schedules)

Employment Type: 1099 (Independent Contractor) and W2 options available

Availability: 10-20 hrs a week

This is a remote, school-based Occupational Therapist role, supporting students across K–12 school settings. You’ll work in coordination with school teams and families, supported by clear workflows, structured onboarding, and dedicated internal support.

Compensation & Pay Structure

  • Rate: $60-66 per hour
  • Annual Loyalty Bonus
  • Paid for documentation, IEP meetings, assessments, and progress reporting at the same hourly rate
  • Paid for no-shows and late cancellations
  • Completed sessions include an additional 10% to account for session documentation time
  • 15mins extra added to your first session for every new student added to your caseload (hourly roles) for IEP review and scheduling time
  • Flexible employment options, including 1099 or W2, based on your preference
  • Paid training ($20/hour), including HR onboarding, platform training, and school-specific training

  • Experience with IEPs and school-based collaboration (1 year minimum experience preferred)
  • Comfortable using technology for virtual service delivery, including online platforms and documentation systems
  • Reliable internet connection and access to appropriate technology for virtual service delivery
