Job summary

Stride, Inc. through Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) seeks a Middle School Special Education Teacher for our virtual K12-powered program. You will adapt curriculum, support students and learning coaches, and partner with families to ensure progress toward individualized goals.

The role is full-time, remote in Arizona, with RTI data-driven instruction, collaboration with specialists, and occasional travel up to 20% for professional development. Bachelor's and AZ teaching certification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND active state teaching license AND ability to clear required background check
• Arizona teaching certification required or transfer eligibility with AZ licensure within 60 days
• Proficient with data interpretation and RTI processes
• Experience with online/virtual learning platforms preferred

Responsibilities

• Modifies and/or adapts the K12 curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
• Collaborates with general education teachers to meet the goals of the targeted students through individualized and small group sessions
• Educates parents on various instructional strategies
• Oversees data collection and progress monitoring at every tier; uses data to guide instruction
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school
