ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida is seeking a Mathematics Instructional Coach to provide content-specific coaching to teachers in grades 3–10, strengthening rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction through modeling and actionable feedback.

This online role requires collaboration with teachers, use of student data to target gaps, and sessions to develop engaging lessons and interventions; occasional travel for state testing and events is expected.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in education with math instruction expertise.
• Strong knowledge of math standards, curriculum, assessment, and best practices.
• Experience coaching or mentoring teachers preferred.
• Ability to analyze student data and translate findings into instruction.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with instructional technology and virtual platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group math coaching to teachers in grades 3–10.
• Support planning and implementation of standards-aligned math instruction.
• Model effective practices and provide actionable feedback.
• Collaborate to develop lessons, strategies, and interventions.
• Use data to identify gaps and adjust instruction.
• Differentiate instruction with appropriate scaffolds.
• Facilitate professional learning and coaching sessions.
• Support use of adopted curriculum and digital tools.
• Monitor coaching progress and instructional needs.
• Stay current on research-based math instruction.
