Job summary

Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school, designed to make grades 4-8 limitless, personal, and exciting. Teachers lead transformative, real-world learning experiences in a hybrid, fully virtual model using AI-powered tools to personalize pace and progress.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with compensation at $30 USD/hour, equivalent to about $60,000 per year, paid weekly. Independent contractor agreement with Crossover as Contractor of Record.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. teaching certificate from any state, or expired certificate eligible for reinstatement, transferable to Arizona.
• Clear, engaging, age-appropriate communication for students ages 8–14, with an energetic virtual presence.
• Comfort leading students live via video, with organized transitions and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a hybrid role in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Run interactive virtual workshops focused on life skills and self-direction.
• Mentor students one-on-one and in small groups to build confidence and executive functioning.
• Use platform data to personalize support and track progress.
• Collaborate with educators to design and improve project-based learning.
• Create a safe, high-energy environment where students feel seen and motivated.
