Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking dedicated online K-12 teachers to join the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Arizona. You will be the teacher of record, deliver live lessons, and support student achievement in a flexible, remote setting with required annual in-person testing events.

This role emphasizes differentiation, data-driven instruction, and collaboration with the principal on progress reporting. Arizona residents eligible; travel for testing and events will occur several times per year.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years' experience teaching.
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook).
• Ability to properly manage confidential information.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all student needs.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding growth.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
