Description: Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is seeking certified and qualified applicants to serve as Part-Time Virtual Learning Facilitators. These positions are part-time (12 months) and involve virtual teaching.

Ideal candidates will be eager learners, embrace best practices in virtual classrooms, communicate effectively, and work well in teams.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates qualified to teach world languages (multiple languages preferred) and core/elective subjects including but not limited to:

• World Languages (ASL, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese, Spanish)
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies
• English/ELA
• Electives

Job Summary: Virtual Learning Facilitators (VLF) work from home, hosting live instruction via Zoom. They apply research-based practices and tailor activities to learners' interests and needs. Training in live video technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS) will be provided.

Working Conditions: Facilitators will frequently stand, walk, sit, squat/stoop, reach, and lift items. They must operate computers effectively, work independently, manage multiple tasks, interpret complex documents, and communicate with diverse individuals. Ability to understand federal, state, and local mandates is essential.
