Overview of Role

Seeking a highly skilled, part-time Educator Training & Professional Development Facilitator to deliver virtual & in-person training for diverse adult learners in various settings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the K-12 education space, experience with SEL content, facilitation, and strong interpersonal skills. This role involves occasional travel and reports to the Executive Director, working closely with the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate virtual and in-person educator training and professional development sessions for diverse adult learners in settings like schools, community, and nonprofits.
• Internalize nXu's content to confidently deliver curriculum and support educators.
• Respond to educator questions with a deep understanding of schools, instruction, and durable skills.
• Create an inclusive, emotionally safe environment, emphasizing equity and inclusion.
• Develop and update technical assistance tools supporting training sessions.
• Collaborate with team members to iterate training content for maximum efficacy.

Qualifications

• Exceptional facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Effective virtual facilitation skills, including high energy, engagement strategies, rapid decision-making, and culture-building for 25+ educators.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, equitable program environment.
• Familiarity with middle & high school classrooms, teaching strategies, and professional learning needs.
• Strong understanding of Adult Learning Theory.
• Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating training for adults and educators.
• 5+ years in K-12 professional learning.
• Belief in nXu's mission and a passion for youth and professional growth.
• Ability to receive feedback and work independently remotely.
• Bachelor's degree and current authorization to work in the U.S.
