Job summary

Amae Health is hiring a Clinical Director for its virtual IOP program. You will oversee the clinical quality, safety, and consistency of care across weekly cohorts and lead a multidisciplinary team of therapists, prescribers, care coordinators, and health coaches.

You will partner with the General Manager on operations, curriculum development, launch, expansion, and provider readiness, setting standards for replication as the program scales to additional states. A California license is required.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted California license in psychology or social work or marriage and family therapy.
• 5+ years of clinical experience, with 2+ in a leadership/supervisory role in IOP/PHP/outpatient settings.
• Strong clinical command of depression/anxiety and evidence-based group treatment.
• Experience with telehealth delivery and virtual risk management.
• Familiarity with CARF/Joint Commission standards and payer documentation requirements.
• Comfort using outcomes and operational metrics to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day clinical operations of the virtual IOP, including scheduling, curriculum delivery, and care decisions.
• Own intake, risk/safety assessment, crisis response, step-up/step-down, and discharge planning protocols.
• Develop new group curricula to expand Amae’s modalities and quality of care.
• Review treatment plans, perform chart audits, and report on quality metrics (attendance, retention, PHQ-9, GAD-7, safety).
• Lead case consultations and multidisciplinary huddles with therapists, prescribers, dietitians, health coaches, and care coordinators.
• Maintain clinical caseload or provide group coverage as needed.
