Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for our OHDELA online learning program. The role emphasizes supporting students with IEPs in a virtual setting, including diagnostic and behavioral assessments, development of IEP goals, and collaboration with families and teachers.

Travel for in-person state testing and events is required several times per year. Open to residents of Ohio; compensation reflects a starting range with opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience with inclusive/co-teaching in Resource Room models.
• Comfort in growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Interpret abilities and disabilities to assist intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and develop IEP goals/objectives.
• Assist students toward achievement and school culture goals.
• Coordinate with families and teachers for student progress.
