The candidate should have MLS/SBB credentials, 5–10 years in biomedical settings, and strong LMS/virtual classroom skills to drive effective assessments and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary training in immunohematology testing.
• MLS certification and SBB specialist credentials.
• 5–10 years in biomedical industry experience.
• Proven virtual/online teaching experience with LMS.
• Strong proficiency with LMS, video conferencing, and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction.
• Use multimedia tools including VR/AR to enhance learning.

CGS is seeking dedicated and dynamic Virtual Instructors to join our instructional delivery services team. As a Virtual Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and interactive online learning experiences for a leading biomedical organization. Your expertise in the subject matter, combined with your passion for education and technology, will help shape the future of virtual learning.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction, fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment.
• Utilize a variety of multimedia tools, platforms, and technologies including mixed and extended reality to enhance the learning experience.
• Tailor your instructional delivery approach to accommodate different learning styles and abilities within a virtual setting.
• Provide clear explanations of complex concepts and encourage learner participation and critical thinking.
• Facilitate discussions, group activities, and projects to promote collaborative learning among learners in video-streamed and virtual reality environments.
• Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely feedback and support to address individual learning needs.
• Maintain a strong online presence, promptly responding to learner inquiries and concerns via email, chat, and other communication channels.
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in virtual instruction and online education.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, technology support teams, and fellow instructors to continuously improve the virtual learning experience.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
• Uphold academic integrity and ethical standards in all interactions and assessments.

Qualifications

5-10 years of biomedical industry experience, a bachelor's degree, or post-secondary training in donor and patient immunohematology testing.Credentialed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) and is certified as a Specialist in Blood Banking Technology (SBB).Knowledge of blood banking and biomedical product manufacturing (RBC, plasma, platelet, cryoprecipitate).Proven experience in virtual or online instruction, showcasing expertise in creating engaging and effective learning environments.A strong command of virtual classroom technologies, video conferencing tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia resources.

Moderate proficiency in the use of: Learning management systems (LMS) to document trainingMicrosoft Excel to collect structured data used by various information management systems.MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, and MS SharePoint.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.A demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners and create inclusive learning experiences.A patient, approachable, and supportive attitude toward learners, promoting a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.A continuous learner with a growth mindset, open to incorporating new teaching methodologies and technologies.Familiarity with assessment and evaluation techniques to measure learner performance and learning outcomes.
