Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a virtual ICU nurse to provide remote patient assessment, education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will review chart information, report changes in status, and engage patients, families, and caregivers via virtual tools. The role prioritizes safety, evidence‑based practice, and continuous improvement.

Night shifts are possible; part‑time 18 hours weekly. NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required, CCRN preferred, and a nursing‑program graduate background

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of critical care nursing experience
• Current State of New Jersey nursing license
• Current CPR certification BLS
• Current ACLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• CCRN preferred
• 5 years of experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Every third weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Ability to work 6:30p–7am night shift
• Part-time availability of 18 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Examine patient chart information regularly to assess patient condition and identify and report changes in patient status
• Use virtual conference tools to assess patient/family/c caregiver emotional responses and incorporate them into the plan of care
• Provide virtual education about medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures
• Assess patient environments for safety risks and regulatory non-compliance through virtual camera applications
• Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Complete virtual rounding on ICU patients with appropriate ICU staff
• Collaborate with the virtual intensivist on call
• Identify potential clinical deterioration and consult with the care team on interventions
• Recognize and respond virtually to crisis situations
• Report errors and unusual occurrences and analyze precipitating factors
• Provide mentorship and peer support to clinical nurses
• Participate in patient rounding through remote viewing and use patient chart information
• Consult virtually with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver holistic treatment plans
• Recommend continuum-of-care programs during patient stays and after discharge
• Maintain clinical competencies and troubleshoot required remote technologies
• Serve as an example of professional nursing practice and promote nursing excellence
• Participate as an engaged member of the healthcare team
• Maintain professional appearance and follow established policies and procedures
