Job summary

A staffing solutions company is seeking a Virtual Test Engineer in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The successful candidate will ensure a stable test environment for automated testing and work closely with engineering teams to validate and troubleshoot electric features before they reach production. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering, knowledge of CAN-based communication tools, and experience with DSpace hardware. This role is critical for supporting successful vehicle launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required.
• Knowledge of CAN based communication and diagnostic tools essential.
• Experience with dSpace hardware architecture and troubleshooting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a stable and representative testing environment for automated testing.
• Work with various Engineering Support teams to validate electrical features.
• Resolve electrical issues before production to support vehicle launch.

Pay Rate: $35/hr. on W2

The Virtual Test Engineer is responsible for delivering a stable and representative test environment to perform automated testing and functional integration of distributed features. This engineer should be capable of working with various Engineering Support teams including systems, wiring, design release engineers, and software teams as required to validate electrical features on the bench and resolve any electrical issues before it gets to production to support successful vehicle launch. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge of CAN based communication and diagnostic tools – Vector CANalyzer/CANoe
• Proficient with Modeling
• Good knowledge and understanding of DSpaceTools – config desk, automation desk, control desk etc.
• Proficiency in the understanding of embedded controller networks (CAN, LIN)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with development and verification of plant and control models in Matlab/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environments
• Experience with dSpace hardware architecture, design, setup, and troubleshooting
• Bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation experience
