Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, SPI, and Ethernet.
• Experience with S-Functions/FMU integration.
• Knowledge of ECU, HWIO, sensors, and actuators.
• Experience with GMSIM, dSPACE, Simscape, GT-Power, or SABER.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control diagnostics.
• Familiarity with DOORS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop sensor and actuator plant models using MATLAB/Simulink.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and control diagnostics.
• Develop and execute test cases for model validation.
• Perform device data acquisition and characterization.

• Collaborate with Controls, Calibration, Hardware, Algorithm, and Validation teams.
• Support vehicle and propulsion system-level virtualization activities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Modeling Engineer to support virtual engineering and the development of virtual environments for calibration, verification, and validation of embedded vehicle controllers. The role focuses on sensor/actuator plant modeling, simulation, and cross‑functional vehicle development.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop sensor and actuator plant models using MATLAB/Simulink

Support HIL, SiL, VHiL, and CoSim environments

Read and interpret electrical drawings and control diagnostics

Develop and execute test cases for model validation

Perform device data acquisition and characterization

Support model enhancements, releases, test cases, and technical documentation

Define virtualization requirements for hardware, controls, suppliers, and modeling teams

Collaborate with Controls, Calibration, Hardware, Algorithm, and Validation teams

Support vehicle and propulsion system‑level virtualization activities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

2+ years of relevant engineering experience

Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink

Knowledge of CAN, LIN, SPI, and Ethernet

Experience with S-Functions/FMU integration

Knowledge of ECU, HWIO, sensors, and actuators

Experience with GMSIM, dSPACE, Simscape, GT-Power, or SABER

Ability to understand electrical drawings and device/controller interfaces

Familiarity with DOORS is preferred

Automotive/vehicle propulsion system experience is preferred

Knowledge of Git, SVN, TFS, Teamcenter, or ETAS INCA is a plus
