Virtual Group Facilitator

Monte Nido has been delivering treatment for eating disorders for over two decades. Our programs offer a model of treatment that blends medically sophisticated care with a personalized approach. We are grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders, working with a multi-disciplinary team that integrates state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care in an intimate home setting.

We are seeking a Virtual Group Facilitator to join our team. This role involves providing direct patient support and therapeutic interventions in accordance with Monte Nido’s philosophy and principles.

This is a full-time position with benefits, working Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm or 1pm-9pm Eastern time.

Responsibilities Include:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Model therapeutic eating habits by eating provided meals and snacks aligned with our nutrition philosophy during shifts.
  • Engage with patients in a manner consistent with our therapeutic approach.
  • Deliver curriculum to groups and communicate effectively, escalating situations as needed.
  • Run assigned groups independently and co-facilitate as needed.
  • Incorporate feedback from supervisors to improve interactions.
  • Maintain professionalism reflecting Monte Nido standards.
  • Monitor patient safety, including eating disordered behaviors, and intervene when appropriate.
  • Participate in meal and snack monitoring, including eating with clients.
  • Check in with clients, especially if they are not attending or have their camera off.
  • Follow up on attendance issues in real-time.
  • Collect and document outcome and satisfaction surveys.
  • Record interactions, behaviors, and interventions promptly in reports and logs.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in staff meetings and treatment team activities for professional growth.
  • Address psychosocial, physical, developmental, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients.
  • Enforce telehealth policies and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization's values.
  • Suggest quality and process improvements.
  • For virtual employees: ensure a private, professional, and reliable telehealth setup, including camera, microphone, and internet connection, and maintain a professional appearance and background.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in counseling or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years of relevant health-related experience; virtual group therapy experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with required technology (high-speed internet, quality camera and microphone).
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred.
